Bikinis in the Keys

“Key Largo, Montego, baby why don’t we go…?” We did! My sister and I were seeking some sunshine and looked towards the keys for a mini vacay. She grabbed her boyfriend and I snagged the puppy, and we hit the beach.

We started off at Marina del Mar Resort, and were upgraded to a suite with a view of the pool and the port. I couldnt wait to have a margarita next door at Skipper’s Dockside. We listened to live music and relaxed by the fire pit with the pup.

When nighttime rolled around we made our way to the local dive bar down the street, Sharky’s. We picked tunes on the jukebox and played some pool, it was definitely a party.

The next day we headed to the hot tub and tanned. We wanted to hit the sand so we headed to the state park. It ended up to be a bust so we bought snorkels and we were off to The Bungalows. This is a brand new exclusive resort by the beach. Unfortunately they were booked without daypasses, but we are totally taking a trip here next time.

Riding down the road we stumbled upon a hidden gem called Baker’s Cay. We rolled in and lucked out as they let us spend the day there, and even bring the dog!

This place was basically a passport to paradise. I’ve never experienced such a serene scene. The beach was a private little cove with crystal clear water. They had rose’ and fruity drinks at the tiki hut and there were tons of water toys. To top it off there was an amazing beachside restaurant with the tastiest treats.

We spent the next couple days at Baker’s Cay, floating  around and sipping on sunshine. Once the sun was set, we were sad to say goodbye, but we cant wait to come back this summer!

Christmas in the Keys

Every winter my family plans a tropical trip, to trade in snowflakes for sand and sunshine. This year we headed to Key West for Christmas. What a great escape! I couldn’t wait to drop my bags and pick up my margarita.

We stayed by the marina at The Marker, a resort style boutique hotel hidden beneath the palm trees. The pool was certainly a luxe place to lounge. For other ways to catch some rays, we took the trolley to the beach. We hit the sand courts for a quick volley then headed over to Mallory Square for the sunset celebration. By nightfall we hit the hot spots downtown on Duval for live music and liquor drinks. We sipped on Sloppy ‘Ritas and danced the night away.

The next day we walked the streets for sweets and shopping. We explored the Lilly store, and picked out the perfect pair of stardust hoops, and the exclusive St. Tropez tanning set. We also visited Alex & Ani for matching bracelets, and Fresh Produce for a sassy sun hat. My favorite stop was treasure hunting at the Mel Fisher Museum. I loved looking through the gorgeous gold and gems uncovered from the ocean floor.

We then made our way to the marina for sunset drinks on our friend’s fabulous yacht. We had a great time watching the waves while enjoying hors d’oeuvres on the deck. What a perfect ending to another day in paradise.

On our last afternoon, we took a tour of the town, from the Southernmost Point to the Mile O sign and more. We even made a stop at Ernest Hemingway’s home. Shortly after, we were off for the airport. I must say, it was hard to head out, but I was happy to leave with sun- kissed skin and a pocket full of postcards. That’s what I call a successful stay.

My signature ensemble of this season has to be this Island Time two piece. I am obsessed with the look of these printed palms. These golden accessories were perfect pieces to pair with this hot Hila set.

Looking forward to the next shipment, I can’t wait to see more of what’s in store. I can’t completely spill the juice about tomorrow’s new releases, but what I can say is that something psychedelic is coming soon, so stay tuned!

Bay Breeze and Palm Trees

Screen Shot 2016-05-11 at 3.49.28 PM

Being the last week with my boyfriend, we were off for a couples retreat across the bay.

We headed over the bridge for a mini escape from Savannah. It was so nice seeing the city from the other side.

To kick off the night we popped champagne on the balcony of our top corner suite, overlooking the bay.

We hit the hotel restaurant, Aqua Star, and snagged the Par 5 Burger from the bar.

The next day we were off to the pool in paradise. It was certainly a sweet retreat sippin’ champs beneath the palm trees.

As the sun set, we settled into the jacuzzi nestled beneath the umbrellas. It was a great place to cheers to our last weekend together.

But all in all I have to say, the best goodbye was breakfast in bed.

Sunkissed in St. Maarten

Recently I slipped away to Saint Maarten to see my boyfriend on his latest adventure. He works on a yacht, so he is away for three months at a time. Although, the upside is that I am able to visit him wherever he ends up, in the most fabulous tropical locations.

This luxury trip led me to the Sonesta Maho Beach All-Inclusive Resort, where we were just steps away from paradise. We went from sangrias at the swim up bar to sandcastles at sunset. The most unique part of this place was the proximity of low flying airliners, making it very popular with plane spotters. Beachgoers can get blown away by the jet blasts of outgoing planes, just 100 feet overhead (which you can see in my video at the end.)

And If you are wondering what heaven is like, I’d say this is pretty close! Traveling up the lush mountains, we came across this secluded sanctuary. And behind me? Well past the pool and the palm trees. Yes that is a dj booth… in a treehouse. Seriously, can life get an better than this?

IMG_3755

This was such a sweet retreat, away from all the distractions we found absolute tranquility. And what better way to spend the day than with my handsome fella?

Be sure to check out the video above for all the exclusive access to our trip. Follow our adventures, from the underwater GoPro to the sky high drone, as we make our way through Saint Maarten.
