As we watch summer slip away in September, you can see the seasons start to change. Autumn makes its way to the beach as we bundle up beneath the dunes.

A sweet retreat here on the Outer Banks has to be Jockey’s Ridge State Park. I love to sneak away to these little hideaways for sightseeing and sunsets.

Day trips to the dunes forever bring fabulous views, from hang gliders overhead to wildlife in the waters. Adventure awaits you, whether you wander through the woods or slide down the sands. I can’t wait to see what else this season has in store…

H&M Hits Savannah

Last week was the long- awaited launch of the H&M in Savannah. The grand opening was August 4th on Broughton Street, our stylish shopping district. The sidewalk was lined with savvy shoppers awaiting the brand’s arrival, and their swag bags!

We watched from work across the street, and snuck over. The line was bumping with Beyonce music and we just made the cut for these cute bags. The first 250 customers received these goodies, along with the coveted 25% off coupon.

The girls and I stormed the store with four stories of sales. I got stuck in the sunnies section, and theres no question why. I mean look at these summer accessories! I made my way to the tops and soon came across some sequin tees with flamingos and palm trees. Can you say vacay?

This chic store brought a more modern feel to the otherwise historical style downtown. The fab fashion and low prices drew in the hot young crowd, and the trendy tunes made playing dress- up fun again. What do you think about all of Broughton street’s new boutiques?

My signature ensemble of this season has to be this Island Time two piece. I am obsessed with the look of these printed palms. These golden accessories were perfect pieces to pair with this hot Hila set.

Looking forward to the next shipment, I can’t wait to see more of what’s in store. I can’t completely spill the juice about tomorrow’s new releases, but what I can say is that something psychedelic is coming soon, so stay tuned!

Let’s get nauti…cal with the latest Lilly Pulitzer pop- up print, “You Gotta Regatta!” Sail off into the sunset with this neon reincarnation of one of our Lilly faves.

As you may know, a manicure can be a woman’s best accessory, so I wore my new romper to the salon  for a mani to match. To complete the look I added my favorite monogram necklace from none other that Moon & Lola.

Beep Beep… Here Comes the Lilly Jeep!

Yesterday was National Wear Your Lilly Day, which also happens to be the first day of summer. What better way to celebrate summer than with pineapples and prints?

One of this season’s hottest prints is Flamenco, featuring Lilly’s signature colors, and is covered in my favorite fruit. It reminds me of a great quote every southern lady should live by: “Be a pineapple… stand tall, wear a crown, and be sweet on the inside!”

This was the perfect day for a cruise in the Lilly jeep, past the palm trees in the Savannah breeze. It was fun to top it off with my favorite matching two- piece Parfait set, perfect for sunshine and summertime!
