Birthday at the Breakers

This year my birthday came around and I thought… celebrating 27 would be so much sweeter in Palm Beach. So I packed my bags and boarded a plane to my sister’s place. She surprised me with dinner and drinks at my dream destination, The Breakers.

Now as you may know, this is not only one of the most renowned resorts, but also my favorite luxury escapes. We made our way to the well known hall that houses HMF. This lavish restaurant and lounge was lined with creative cocktails and trendy tapas.

To top off this sweet birthday retreat, we set our sights on the Seafood Bar, overlooking the ocean. You heard that right, the fish are swimming in the bar! We sipped our drinks with Nemo until soon we were off to our next party spot. What can I say, is there a better place to celebrate your  birthday than at the Breakers at Palm Beach?

Showered in Lilly

When one of your best babes is about to have a baby, of course I had to help shower this sweetie in Lilly. My longtime neighbor Morgan found out she was having a little girl, and I was happy to help with her  Lilly Pulitzer baby shower.

My mom is fabulous with flowers, so she put together the perfect arrangements, from pineapples bouquets to flamingo florals. We also set up a sweet snack spread, followed by a mimosa bar.

Baby Aris is already going to have the best wardrobe, as she was presented with personalized onesies and Lilly Pulitzer shifts.

From palm leafs to pineapples and pom poms, this was quite the party. We even built a balloon arch photo spot, and decked out the downstairs in the signature pink and green.

This was the perfect setting to play baby games and open presents. We had such a great time catching up with the girls and celebrating the arrival of baby Aris!

Special thanks to Amélie’s French Bakery for hosting us and Jan Angel for your party planning

Weekend on Worth Avenue

I have always dreamed of walking the streets of Palm Beach. Last week I was lucky enough to pass through for work and ended up staying to play!

My sister stays in West Palm so I thought this would be the perfect time to pop by. Her birthday was that weekend so what better way to celebrate that with your sibling?

We started off at our favorite brunch spot, the rooftop restaurant at Restoration Hardware. It’s named as ‘the best way to peer through the city through its crown.’

Afternoons here are always a grand affair, where chandeliers shimmer beneath glass ceilings. What a view! After we sipped the last bit of bubbles we were off to the famous Worth Avenue for some window shopping.

I loved walking past the palm trees and into the vias as I stopped into the shops. Each was filled with designer gowns and the most glamorous pieces in town.

I havd to say, the best ending to our day was making our way to the beach. What’s better than having your toes in the sand and shopping bags in hand?

The Colony Palm Beach

Have you ever been inspired by a place you’ve never been? I must say, I have always dreamed of visiting this beloved boutique hotel. Today I was lucky enough to wake up in the city’s Jewel, the Colony Palm Beach.

What a great place to stay, from champagne check-in to hand crafted cocktails at the Bimini Bar. With halls of pink walls and palm leaves under my feet I felt right at home.

Although we all know, the place to see and be seen is the Polo Lounge. The experience of luxury continues as you make your way to Worth Avenue. What better way to end your day than shopping the streets of Palm Beach?

Tori Richard on Tour

As you may know, over the past few years I have worked for Lilly Pulitzer, most recently as the manager of Life’s a Beach in the Outer Banks, NC. I am excited to announce that I now have accepted the position as the Mid- Atlantic Sales Representative for Tori Richard Honolulu.

I was first discovered in the Outer Banks and everything after that fell into place. I packed my bags and shipped off to Charlotte. As soon as work started I was whisked off to several states, all around the Mid- Atlantic area, from Maryland and Delaware to the Carolinas and Georgia.

After the holidays, I made my way down south to sell Summer 2018. We made it to Myrtle Beach, Wilmington, Atlantic Beach, Beaufort and New Bern… and that was just week one. We visited several stores and showed off our latest styles.

The next week we toured anywhere from Savannah and St. Simon’s to Charleston and Pawleys Island. My favorite part of my territory is covering all of the coastal towns. Once we made our way through the Carolinas and Georgia, we were off to Florida.

This trip was at the top of my list as Florida is my absolute favorite. Our first stop was Ship Chic, our concept shop in Tampa. We then made our way to Sassy’s boutique, a shop in Vero Beach. We made a stop in Stuart and saved the best for last, Palm Beach!

We were on to to Worth Avenue for brunch with none other than the Orrico girls, and headed back to chat at their C. Orrico store. We shopped, we gossip, and showed off Summer. Once we were off, it was time to stroll down the palm tree path to the city’s jewel, the Colony Palm Beach.

I have always dreamed of visiting this iconic address, and I couldn’t wait to check in and sip champagne. Walking past the Polo lounge and the palm leaf lined halls, I was off to sleep in my suite.

The next day we were back on the road to visit the Sandpiper store in Marco Island and Naples. I couldn’t wait to drop in to Boca Grande to visit Ariel, along with the Lilly store next door. We ended our tour in St. Armands Circle at the Columbian in Sarasota. We sipped mojitos and strolled through the shops and headed home.

Our last Florida excursion sent us to the Surf Expo in Orlando. We had a blast browsing the booths and setting up to sell our Summer lines. After appointments all afternoon we were off to Rocco’s Tacos for a sip of socializing.

We had a great weekend of networking with everyone from entrepreneurs to surfers and more. I can’t wait for the Atlanta Market next week, when Tori goes back on tour!
