Myrtle Beach Retreat

I couldn’t wait to swan dive into summer and hit the beach for a sweet retreat! I hopped in my best babe’s car and soon we were beach bound with our boys.

We spent our afternoon pulling out the floats, popping out the umbrellas and chilling in our chairs. We had so much fun soaking up the sun and sipping on freezies at the tiki.

For date night, plus Mike, we cruised down to Crab Catchers. We feasted on fresh seafood and sat by the water. The sunset on the dock was the perfect dinner backdrop.

We spent our last day floating in the pool with friends and relaxing before we hit the road. I was so sad to leave our new beach pad, but I had such a blast with my best buds. I can’t wait to see what the rest of summer has in store!

Red, White & Boom!

This year the Fourth of July came around, and I was finally able to celebrate in my hometown. The party started on the sandbar with fun and friends in floats and boats. It was a beautiful day to stay watch the boat parade!

The party continued downtown Rock Hill at the annual Red, White and Boom bash. My sister and I hit the streets to celebrate with carnival rides and music live. We met up with friends and grabbed some food and headed to the amphitheater for some nightlife fun.

The finale to the fourth took place with family at my Gramie’s. We played outside with our baby cousins and cooled off in the pool. We rocked the red white and blue, and even lined the neighborhood with flags too.  It was the perfect summer day to play and and celebrate the USA!

Angel Family Christmas

My favorite time of year is the one most full of cheer, and I couldn’t wait for Christmas to be here. I made the best of being in the Outer Banks one last time before I finally headed home for the holidays.

There’s nothing like Christmas to bring the family together. I was more than ready to hit the road home to Rock Hill, SC. We started Christmas Eve early with the Candlelight Service at church, and ended it with our annual drive through our neighborhood to look at lights.

Waking up the morning of is always more memorable than the last. The kitchen was covered in Christmas brunch and the living room was lined with gifts. We were more than ready to pour some mimosas and get into the presents.

I couldn’t wait to join my family around the tree and trade gifts. I must say santa sure got it right with these gifts. Although, its not just what’s under the tree that matters most, but who’s around it.

Once the sun went down, these little elves were ready to hit the town. What better way to celebrate than at an ugly Christmas sweater party? Follow along to see what these girls get into in the New Year…

Thankful for Family

The Angel family all started here, in Rock Hill South Carolina. Over the years, my sisters have moved and traveled up and down the coast. I am so thankful that over the holidays, no matter how busy we become, we always find our way back home.

These two girls are my heart and soul, Jana and Savannah. We may not see each other often, but when we do, the Angel girls are unstoppable. Being the second born, I am always caught in the ‘middle’ but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I am grateful for so much this year. This was the first time I could stay home through the holidays and I am so happy to spend it with everyone I love, from my parents to my puppies. Enjoying home-cooked meals and catching up with my grandmother are times I treasure. I can’t wait to come back for Christmas!

Merry Christmas ‘fur’ one and ‘fur’ all!

I have to say, my favorite place to go this time of year is my hometown for the holidays. Rock Hill, South Carolina is known for their annual ‘Christmasville’ festival, and it is definitely worth the trip!

The city ‘came alive as a charming, picturesque holiday village’ with  fun features ranging from carolers to carriage rides. Fountain Park was sprinkled with holiday cheer complete with a fabulous festival atmosphere.

The best part was dolling up for a stroll downtown. Fuzzy fur vests are a fab winter staple for the day.  At dawn I donned a luxe satin one-shoulder dress, topped with a rich houndstooth coat.

It was such a treat to celebrate the holidays at this 10th annual Christmas celebration in the whimsical world of old town Rock Hill. I hope to see you all there next year!
